I like to read Frugal Babe’s Blog. She is a 28 year old blogger, married, no kids. Interesting lady. Today her post was referring to another post she read on Get Rich Slowly. Apparently there were some very interesting comments:
But I was surprised to see a comment on the post that basically said that the article was self-glorification and did not help others who are needing to learn to get by on one income. The comment said that it seemed that Mrs. Darling was just congratulating herself for being so wise about money all these years, and that the ideas were not helpful for people who hadn’t started being frugal early in life.
Interesting eh? What do you think? (I already posted my comments over on her site) If you have some time, follow the link back over, check out her comment then go back over to Get Rich Slowly and read the original post.

I know Mrs. D(Dishpan Dribble blog)(dear blogging buddy), and she’s not like that at all…not a braggart. I think someone misinterpreted her post. She’s proud of how far she has come, and rightly so.
I think I found Mrs. D via that original post at her cousin’s site.
Her writing style is not bullet posts, she’s more of a storyteller.
Sometimes people want easy answers to problems(quick how-to guide, bullet posts) when really it’s all about self control and having non-greedy values. Mrs D comes from this value base.
I agree–that was not self-congratulatory. I think someone read the post after they got up on the wrong side of the bed…
