Linen And Things Going Out Of Business!

October 17, 2008 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate 10 Comments

I just heard that Linen and Things is going out of business, and their remaining stores will start closing today, October 17th.

Sounds like time to think about picking up some bargains for Christmas.

Our store closed several months ago. I didn’t know any were still open.

I’m with Heather. The one nearest me has been closed for a while and I wasn’t sure if any were still open.

I guess there are 300 or so still open but closing. . . Wish I had one to check for deals. We've got BB&B

I am in Canada, and had heard the same thing, but funnily we are still getting weekly flyers and they are still advertising their website? Interesting, its not a store I go into very often though.

I went to Linens and Things yesterday and there were no bargains yet! Most items were only 10%off and you could not use any coupons. I think I may try again next week and see if the discounts are better.

Ours just started closing this weekend, but the sales are only 10-30%, so nothing special.

Might check it out as they get really low. I heard from another Canadian blogger that their stores are staying open?

Doesn't surprise me ~ with home decor stores, coffee shops & home improvement stores within 1 mile of each other usually, is there enough business to go around in this economy?

I went to Linens & Things Saturday to purchase an Aero bed for a guest and use a Rebate card they had sent me .
They are still honoring Rebate and gift cards .
The cashier did tell me they are not honoring coupons.
The bed was 10% off minus rebate .
I probably could have shopped for a better deal , but I did not want to get caught with a worthless rebate card , and the bed was what we needed!!!
