Menu Plan 11/16

November 16, 2009 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate Leave a Comment

Not an exciting menu plan-but hey, sometimes that is just the way life goes.  At least with all the chaos I still attempt to have a plan 🙂

Monday: Ok, I lied. No plan-arriving home from travel after dinner. Yankee Bill will take care of feeding the kiddos.

Tuesday: Venison Steaks, Sauteed Onions, Gravy, Rice & Greenbeans

I better use up a bit more of that Venison in the freezer before Yankee Bill heads out on Saturday to try to bag us another one!  Yes, it’s deer camp time again soon.  The gravy is totally cheating-the type in the little packages.

Wednesday: All Day Crockpot Macaroni & Cheese

I’m heading out on Wednesday again (yes, again) for a single day gig in Vegas-so I leave on Wednesday afternoon, speak on Thursday in Vegas and take the redeye home.  Since the family ate way too much prepackaged food over the weekend I thought I’d start a pot of All Day Mac ‘n Cheese in the morning, Yankee Bill can serve it to the kids in the evening, and I can use the leftovers for lunches etc when I get back.

Thursday:  Frozen meal du jour

Yankee Bill will feed them something.

Friday:  Frozen Pizza

I’ll be arriving home at about 10 am, and I’m sure I’ll sleep part of the day. Those red eye flights are not restful.  Yankee Bill will be leaving out for deer camp in the evening (they sleep up there in the camper so they can get a very early start on Sat Morning)-frozen pizza will be right about up to speed by then.

Saturday: Chicken Nuggets & Tater Tots

Ok-My husband goes hunting with his best friend-spending the week at deer camp.  Then we two wives get a babysitter and go out for the evening. So the kiddos will have easy babysitter food and Ms W & I will head off to do something fun (as of yet to be exactly determined)

Sunday: Roast Chicken, Buttered Noodles and Beets

I have a whole chicken to use up, pair it with a couple of easy sides like noodles and beets & I’ve got a classic sunday dinner.
