Well, as I write this I am in the air somewhere between Philadelphia and Chicago for the BlogHer* conference. Don’t worry-although I’m typing away on my iPhone it is safely in “airplane” mode for the duration of the trip.
I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to attend so many great conferences and trips this year and to meet so many fantastic people. I particularly have looked forward to BlogHer as so many of the ladies I read and interact with online but have never actually met will be there. Not only that but the various sessions look like they will be so informative.
I am able to attend this conference because of the generous sponsorship of Walmart. Additionally Coldwater Creek stepped up to the plate and sponsored my entire wardrobe. They have such fabulous, quality clothes-I feel like a new woman in them! Don’t worry you will all get to see them soon, both in pictures and video.
So over the next couple of days I will be running some “best of” posts for your reading enjoyment, as well as some fun babble about the conference itself.
Don’t worry- by Monday I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled program of frugality.
*BlogHer for the uninitiated is THE women’s blogging conference.

Very jealous š
Hope to have the opportunity to be invited to blogHer one day….
Any plans for a Coldwater Creek giveaway? I LOVE their stuff – I’m sure you look fabulous. š
No plans yet-although I have and will mention it to them. I do have that code Frugal09 for $25 off $100. . .
It was great meeting you at the Chicagonista event – can’t wait to hear how Blogher went – I have been watching all the tweets from many amazing SM women!
I look forward to following your blog – I was just impatiently staring at my green tomatoes! š
Take care! – Brandi
After seeing the video about Coldwater Creek clothing that was on your blog awhile ago I became interested in their clothes. This winter during a fantastic sale I bought many items from their web site, including some travel knits. It seems that machine washing is OK for them, but hand washing is preferable. I’m wondering how much risk machine washing poses to the longevity of the travel knits and whether the risk can be significantly minimized with a strategy such as delicate cycle, washing in a net bag, or other. . . Do you have any insights/experience/tips regarding this? I’m very happy with the clothes and appreciate your site’s bringing them to my attention.
