Heading home from vacation today-so I thought I’d share another reader tip on Frugal Fashion.
Emily had some great details on how to make your shoe purchases count:
My best budget tip is to buy quality when it comes to shoes, and never go shoe-shopping without a purpose. Take pictures of yourself wearing the outfits you need to find shoes for, and make sure your shoes are well-made and will go well with multiple outfits. Most of us end up wearing only two or three pairs of shoes all the time. Myself, I have sandals I bought in Europe a year ago that I paid 60 Euros for (EEK!) but I’ve worn them nearly every day for a year. Even in the winter–as I was very pregnant and warm all the time.
Right. I could ramble a lot.
1) Buy comfortable, quality shoes
2) Buy shoes that will work well with multiple outfits
3) Shop for shoes with a purpose

I think it’s very important to buy quality shoes! It isn’t very frugal if you end up with either foot or back problems from cheap ones. I really like the idea of taking pictures of the outfits you’ll use with the shoes.
Comfort is key! Thats why I love my Dansko clogs and sandals, and my birkenstocks (even though they cost a LOT)
