Washing Soda Update-Local Info

January 13, 2006 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate 1 Comment

I emailed Arm & Hammer to find out what stores in the local area carry washing soda (which is necessary for the laundry detergent recipe). This is their reply:

You should be able to find this product at the following locations:
TOPS MARKET 54 E MAIN ST NORWICH NY 13815 (607)-336-4244
TOPS MARKETS 165 DELAWARE AVE SIDNEY NY 13838 (607)-563-2733
WEGMANS 650 HARRY L DR JOHNSON CITY NY 13790 (607)-729-7782
P & C FOOD MARKETS 160 CLINTON AVE CORTLAND NY 13045 (607)-753-8479
P & C FOOD MARKETS ROUTE 17 C OWEGO NY 13827 (607)-687-2546
P & C FOOD MARKETS 184 N HOMER AVE CORTLAND NY 13045 (607)-756-4702
TOPS MARKET 3918 STATE ROUTE 281 CORTLAND NY 13045 (607)-250-2500

I’ll probably pick mine up at the TOPS market in Norwich-after I do, I’ll update the cost per washing based on exactly what they sell the washing soda and borax for.

I used to be able to find the Washing Soda in the local grocery store which is Super 1 but they suddenly stopped carrying it and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere else. Thanks for giving me the idea to contact the manufacturer.
