For those of you who were wondering, the wine tasting fundraiser was a success on Friday night. We had about 50 people attend, after expenses raised about $300 (expenses were about $200 plus a heck of a lot of labor) and I was totally stressed and exhausted.
However everyone seemed to have a very good time, it was VERY classy (which was what we were aiming for) and we proved to the naysayers that it was a nice event to have. Considering that the advertisement was almost nonexistent-well I think it fair to say that we could expect to make a significantly larger amount at a future event with better advertising.
Thank you all for your concern and prayers. I will make sure next time that I take something like this on that I enlist much more help from the onset instead of trying to do so much of it myself. Plus it would really help if YB’s work didn’t unexpectedly take him out of town. . . .
