School is officially back in session today which means I am back to packing lunches for the kiddos.

With the return of that chore I am reinstating the daily “Lunchbox Report” in my sidebar.  You can find it about 2/3 of the way down on the right.

The lunchbox report is where I will post~in theory regularly~what I’ve packed in the kids lunchboxes.  When I start packing Yankee Bill’s lunch I’ll post that as well! Hopefully this will help everyone get some new and different ideas.

As an added benefit to me, posting the lunches makes me aware of any unintentional lunchbox ruts!

I’ll be doing more posting about lunch ideas soon, but in the meantime here is some other reading on lunchbox related topics:

Making a Lunch

Keeping Stuff Hot for Lunch

A note on portion sizes

Amyrlin~I knew that you’d be happy to see it back 🙂 I’ll try to keep up with it this year.

Elisabeth~Thank you SO MUCH for letting me know about the link-I probably wouldn’t have noticed it for a long time. Believe it or not, I had written the entire post then accidentally deleted it (DOH!). I was a little, um, irritable when I was recreating it and I obviously goofed up the links. It has now been fixed.

Haha, I totally understand. I have done the same thing many, many times. It is so incredibly irritating!

Do you have an archive of previous lunch ideas? Or can we only see that days menu?

Mandi-I used to do it daily in a post several years back, so if you search for “lunchbox Report” you’ll find a bunch of them. The current format is not archived-just appears the day of. This is to keep the folks who are reading my blog via email subscription from having to see it each day if they don’t want. . . it was annoying some folks 🙂
