Here’s what Princess had in her lunch today:
- Cereal and milk (b-fast snack, in the cool container I mentioned earlier)
- Whole Wheat Cheese Quesedilla (2 whole wheat tortillas with cheese in between dry fried in my nonstick pan. I wrapped them up hot in tinfoil and then in two clean washcloths to see if I could retain some of the heat. If not, she’ll just eat them at room temp.)
- Salsa/Sour cream mix (for dipping)
- Carrots and ranch dressing (at her request, again)
- Fruit Cocktail (in a small plastic container)
- carmel flavored mini rice cakes (From Aldi’s, they are supposed to be for me. . . .)
- Strawberry Milk (strawberry syrup and some milk mixed and frozen in the bottle last night, this morning finished filling w/milk. By lunch it defrosts but meantime it keeps the lunchbox cool)
Yesterday Princess came home with half of her soup, some crackers and the slice of cheese. She ate the soup and crackers as an after school snack. . . .

That was a smart idea to mix some of the milk with the strawberry syrup, so the drink and lunchbox both stay cool!
I love reading about her lunches! And now I really want one of those cereal containers…
M2F Can’t take credit for coming up with that idea-I got it from the Hillbilly Housewife articles on packing lunch 🙂
T-I know, I totally sucumbed to shiny pretty impulse shopping on the cereal container. But I do think it is useful and a good idea. I got mine at Wally World.
