Here’s an Italian Dressing Mix that works either as a dressing or as a marinade. I’m going to be experimenting with a variety of versions–this one works, but I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite ever.
Italian Dressing/Marinade Mix
Ingredients
- 1 TBS Garlic Powder
- 1 TBS Onion Powder
- 1 TBS Sugar
- 2 TBS Oregano
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Thyme
- 1 tsp Basil
- 1 TBS Parsley
- 1/4 tsp Celery Salt
- 2 TBS Salt
Instructions
Mix

Mix all dry ingredients and store in an airtight container.
To Make Dressing

1/4 C Cider Vinegar
-
2/3 C Olive Oil
-
2 TBS Water
-
2 TBS Italian Dressing or Marinade Mix

I am certainly going to make this. I usually just eyeball it when I need it. I never even thought of having the dry stuff all made up ahead of time. Great idea!
So how are you holding up in this weather? I am in Syracuse and my snowbanks are higher than me!

As for the weather, I’m freezing my tush off here in Binghamton! We’ve got about 3 feet of standing snow in the yard and it’s getting harder and harder to do the shoveling between snowfalls. This winter has really been an old fashioned winter!
