Talking about after school snacks reminded me of this classic recipe for healthy peanut butter “candy”
Peanut Butter “Candy”
1 C Powdered Milk
1/2 C Honey
1/2 C Peanut Butter
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls. Store in refrigerator.
Variations:
Add into the mix, or roll completed balls in up to 1/2 C of: crushed graham cracker crumbs, crushed cereal, flake coconut
Out of Honey? Try cornsyrup*, molasses or even maple syrup-whichever is plentiful & inexpensive for you.
Add 2 tablespoons raisins, dried cranberries, dried apple, chopped nuts, sesame seeds, or mini chocolate chips
Sneak in some wheat germ-they won’t even notice!
Add 1tsp vanilla
Add 1/4 tsp cinnamon
*Yes, I know, corn syrup may possibly be evil.

Ooooooooh! I can’t wait to make these! The toddler loves peanut butter and these would definitely be less messy than PB on crackers.

In slightly altered quantities (closer to 2:1:1) this makes a great edible play doh recipe!

My daughter absolutely loves these. She has a 14 yr. old boy now, when he was 5 we made them. He did not like that you had to use your hands to roll em up. lolol

This is The Hubster’s favorite candy. I use equals parts honey, powdered milk and peanut butter.
