You guys all know how much I love ALDI. I frequently mention them here on the blog, on Facebook, in tweets, during menu plans. . . well you get the idea. I think that for low cost, decent quality food staples you cannot beat ALDI! And when they have $.89 five LB bags of flour or $.99 eggs-well, I start gushing.
So when I was contacted to see if I would be interested in tell you all about the ALDI online holiday catalog and giving away TWO, count ’em TWO, $25 giftcards to some lucky readers–well you can only imagine how thrilled I was.
There are always a lot of great deals at ALDI, but at Christmas time they get in their special German treats. Stollen (a delicious breakfast bread), German chocolates, Germany Christmas cookies. . . It brings back my time in Germany and the fun Yankee Bill and I used to have at the markets during the holiday season.
So head on over and check out the ALDI Holiday Online Catalog! If you aren’t sure if there is an ALDI near you, use the handy store locator.
Now the fun part-the giveaway!
To be chosen as one of the two $25 ALDI Giftcard winners, simply leave a comment letting me know what your favorite thing to buy at Aldi’s is (or if you have yet to shop there-what you are interested in buying there)
This giveaway will run from today-Dec 14th through Saturday Dec 17th.
Good luck!
Disclosure: ALDI provided me with a giftcard and the two giftcards for the giveaway. My participation is voluntary and opinions, as always are my own.

I buy a lot of canned vegetables from them. The canned corn is the best I have ever tasted.
We love Aldi (although wish they offered more organic choices) and I used to love buying my whole milk with no hormones there, but now they don’t carry it in gallons and their half gallon price is very high so I’d say that I love their weekly produce specials best now. I also get our old fashioned oats there as well!

I shop Aldi every week and sometimes more. Love their red grapes, strawberries, deli pizzas and cheap coffee. A gift card would be my best Christmas present of all.
I love to get baking staples and snack foods there. LOVE Aldi!
My Dad is a big ice cream eater and absolutely adores their ice cream, I like to get avocados when I see them there, SUCH a good price and they are always a treat.
I love to shop for baking supplies…Aldi’s has great prices!
I have shopped there a couple of times. I love the staples. If it weren’t so far from my house I would go more often.
I would love to get some super cheap produce!!
Aldi is always my weekly stop for groceries. Best milk price in town! I have an entire repeat list of fresh foods, canned goods, dairy, breads and cereal. You can’t beat the quality, and with weekly specials – I always feel I get real shopping value each and every trip. Love it!!
I love Aldi and shop there at least once a week.
.
I like getting baking supply at Aldi. Their tin cookies are great too.
Baking staples anyday…
I only recently discovered Aldi. I love their .29 grapefruits, .99 pineapples, and their eggs are great too!
I’ll have to go pick up some of their German chocolates and cookies…sounds soooo good!
I have shopped at Aldi for more than 35 years. I now have one 1.5 miles from home, next to a GREAT market and on my way to several other regular stops.
I regularly buy: plain non-fat yogurt, fit & active broths, salsa, tortilas, produce specials, soft margerine, polish sausage, balogna, chips, nachos, pretzels………
I’m a big fan of their Dazzle flavored sodas. With campus soda machines charging $1.75 for 20 ounces of big names, I can get a lot of Dazzle at $.50/liter bottle. Not only does it taste delicious, Dazzle is missing some (but by no means all) of the things that make sodas unhealthy.

I would be interested in their Appleton Farms
Spiral Sliced Half Ham looks really good

I loooove Aldi!! I buy all of my baking staples, cheese, crackers, you name it there! Their prices can’t be beat.
It’s hard to pick my favorite item … Wine? Chocolate? Cheese? It’s like a boutique grocery in there.
Fresh veggies and fruit – delicious!
HI–I like to buy their milk and cereal products. I think Aldi’s has great prices.
I have never shopped at Aldi, but I would like to stock up on canned goods.
We love Aldi. We get most of our basics there, and love the spiral sliced ham. My favorite item right now though is the peppermint mocha coffee creamer. It is an indulgence I can afford at about half the price of other grocery stores.
I do most of my shopping at Aldi not only because I save money buying my groceries there but also because the food is of good quality and tastes good.
Another note: Most of their store brands are top-notch. All three of our desktop computers and my GPS navigation aid are Aldi’s store brand: Medion.
P.P.S. Can you believe that a discount grocery carries Ghirardelli chocolate baking mixes?

I buy tons there but, lately, I just can’t find anyone to beat their price on butter! Love it!
I’ve heard great things about Aldi,a nd would to shop there.
Love Aldi! I buy pretty much everything there that we don’t grow ourselves.
We have two Aldis within a reasonable driving distance, 30-45 mins, and I am so glad to have them. Everything is good, but I always look for their produce, high quality, great prices. Their meat is also great quality. I live in WV and without Aldis, many of my neighbors would have a much harder time making do. Thank you Aldis for making our life easier and more nutritious. And I get their low prices and great quality without clipping coupons!!!
I love to shop at Aldi’s. Great quality, and of course prices! I buy snack foods, cheese, eggs and ground beef there. It’s a great money and time saver. Items are usually in the same place each week, so I can run in and out in no time.
I cannot limit myself to just one favorite item at Aldi’s as there are many. In today’s economy and very high food prices, it’s good to know that I can at least purchase many items at a much lower cost that the average market without giving up taste and/or quality!
I like to get their trash bags, walnuts, baking soda. The list goes on and on. Unfortunately there’s not one in our town but there’s 2 about 25 minutes from us. Love to go see what they have
I love to stock up on my baking supplies at Aldi. There isn’t one close enough to justify shopping there regularly. However, I will go out of my way to get the great deals that they offer on the baking supplies.
I really like buying produce there especially in the summertime. Whether it is fruit or vegetables, it is delicious and really helps me to eat healthier. Last year I lost 36 pounds and I think 80% of that was because of the produce!
Besides the staples (baking supplies, rice, etc..) I always get their bags of frozen chicken breasts and there is a delicious salad dressing with whole garlic cloves in it that I use for marinating them in, yum!
I always buy butter at Aldi; it’s significantly cheaper than any other store. As much as I love living frugally, I’m not willing to give up butter unless absolutely necessary! 🙂
I became a passionate Aldi shopper a few months back when I needed to start cutting my grocery bills. Now I can’t stop singing it’s praises and encourage everyone to give it a try. Here are a few things I love: they do not use hormones in most of their dairy products, they sell several items (like vanilla wafers) that do not contain high fructose corn syrup/hydrogenated oils and the same goes for their 100% whole wheat bread which sells for $1.69 (its name brand counterpart sells for $2.69). I can usually get a 10 lb bag of potatoes for $1.99 (unheard of!) and their chocolate is from Belgium (amazing chocolate with a short list of real ingredients). I also got our gingerbread house there for $6.99 ($3 less than most big box shops) and they have great non-food items as well, such as toys (name brand toys, too!) and cookware. The people that work there have always been friendly/helpful as well. Keep up the good work Aldi!
Fresh fruit and veggies!
Fresh Fruit!
I don’t have an Aldi’s close to me but have heard so much about this place. I would love to try their meats and canned vegs.
I absolutely love their bagged fresh spinach, and their salted butter. They have added a few things new that I have not tried. I am a relatively new Aldie’s shopper due to escalting food prices, and it is on my way home from work. I can’t believe the prices, they are great.
There food is always fresh!
I love their great prices on the baking supplies and I’ll be even happier when they finish building the Aldis near my house 🙂
The .89 flour sounds awesome. I really need to start shopping there.
We have chocolate ornaments for our tree from ALDI! You can find all kinds of good stuff there.
You can’t beat there snack food prices, baking staples and fresh produce.
I love Aldi’s. Probably my favorite thing is their pizza mixes, although they have so many wonderful things. Their ketchup is outstanding too.
Gwen
We love Aldi! Favorite thing…that is hard…so would have to say chocolate chips! and produce, and tortillas, and butter, and………….
I love the chicken wings they are the best meaty and delicious and they ususly have the best avocado prices
I LOVE ALDI’S!!! I do alot of cooking from scratch-and you can’t beat their prices on flour, butter etc. I really like their winter blend coffee to0-and their special cheeses during the holiday…well pretty much anything from there is great!
We are big Aldi fans in this house. We love the produce there, but I think that we have been most impressed with how good the quality of their wine is at such an inexpensive price!
