Customize your Cover for NCAA Football 13 from EA Sport!

Here’s something fun from Walmart & EA Sports!

If you are into football and enjoy video games the new NCAA Football 13 from EA Sport (available for the PS3 or Xbox 360) has a neat new option-you can print a custom cover featuring YOURSELF as the player!

Walmart gave me the chance to get the game and try the service out. It was easy-you just go to the NCAA13 You’re Covered on Facebook App and design your cover. And don’t worry-even if you don’t have a copy of the game you can have fun with this app:

In the app you can choose your team and it automatically adjusts your uniform to match.

Next you choose your photo. You can either take one with your webcam right then, upload one from your computer or use one from your Facebook photos. Once you choose the picture it slides it behind the football player image. You can drag it around until the face shows in the helmet, then there are sliders along the bottom you use to adjust the size, tilt the image, lighten or darken your face and change the tone of the player’s skin:

Once you’ve got it all set up you can share the photo to Facebook like I did:

Then your friends can go and make their own covers as well!

And finally you can print out your cover and use it in your own box. How cool is that?

And what about the game? Well, I am not that good with football, so I let the kiddos and Yankee Bill try it out. The general consensus was that the game was very good-but that you had to have a basic understanding of football in order to play it–which of course makes sense. That made it something that Princess and Buddy aren’t likely to plan on a regular basis-but Yankee Bill thought it was fun.
