Did you know that More than 50 million Americans don’t know where their next meal will come from?  Add to that the fact that historically spring brings fewer food donations and you get the fact that this time of year is really rough for a lot of people.

This Spring from April 9-30th Walmart, ConAgra, General Mills, Kellogg’s and Kraft— are fighting hunger!  Their goal to help their customers give more than 42 million meals to local food banks.

You can help!

Next time you are at Walmart, grab a Fighting Hunger Circular, purchase participating products and just follow the directions on the box when you get home to trigger a donation!

There is another, EVEN EASIER way to help, and you don’t even have to set foot outside your own home.  Through a Facebook voting campaign, Walmart will give $2 million to fight hunger in the 200 communities with the highest unemployment rate in the US based on your votes!

Just head to the Walmart Facebook Page and you’ll see a button at the top of the page with “Fighting Hunger”  click the button, go to the app and vote for a community.  You can vote daily~and it doesn’t cost you a thing!

So join in and help us to fight hunger!  As they said in the video, it’s a big problem, so it needs a big solution–and you can be part of that solution!

Note:  Walmart used a Department of Labor Unemployment list to designate the 200 communities in the U.S. with the highest unemployment rates.
