You know, I always forget about Kmart.  Our local Kmart, 20 minutes away in Binghamton, NY, is a bit off the beaten path for me.  When I need to do “one stop shopping” I tend to think of some of their big competitors~all of whom are on the huge shopping strip across town.

But a one day only sale like this, on Saturday 8/15, where you can get special offers throughout the day on everything from patio furniture, to grills, to jewelry… all at Kmart Bluelight prices makes me think that a trip over to Kmart is in order.  After all, I’m all about a sale!

There will be over 40 special blue light prices to include:

*Kids Backpacks (Athletech, Route 66 and Licensed) reg. $19.99 – Bluelight $8!  (perfect for back to school, or to put in your “gift box” for Birthday or Christmas gifts)
* American Fare Vita-Water 2 for $1
* All Patio Furniture 70% off! (+ an extra 20% off during bluelight!)~everyone knows this is the best time of  year to buy your patio furniture on sale.
* 70 count Notebooks – Buy 2 Get 1 Free
* Diamond Jewelry extra 10% (Diamonds are already 70% off this week!)

Don’t have a store near you? That’s ok too. . . check online at Kmart.com for some great deals on Saturday 8/15.

And you can always follow Kmart on Twitter for up to the minute Kmart information and deals.

    I know exactly where the Kmart is…and you are right, it’s off the beaten path. I didn’t know Binghamton had another store other than Kmart until last Christmas. As we were driving up from South Carolina, and we were experiencing snow (kids more of an experience, where as I was experiencing driving in it for the first time in about 20+ years), we went down the “Parkway” to the other box mart store. Oh my word……I hadn’t been down the “Parkway” in a number of years. I was so unprepared for that experience, and in snow, and flurries and at Christmas, on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Yes I was crazy……and no we didn’t find the snow pants the boys needed……PRICELESS MEMORIES. 🙂

    Yup, other than the Mall area the parkway has turned into THE place for all the stores – I’ve never even been to Boscovs in downtown Binghamton 😉

    Ahh Kmart, it does have some memories. Alas in my town you pretty much need to be armed to go to the Kmart. It’s one of, if not the, nastiest store in town. Rundown store and dirty with nasty, rundown employees in a really not nice section of town. But maybe I will look online!

    I have a Kmart near me. It is the only store that carries The 40 lb bag of indoor Meow Mix that my cats will eat. (Picky Eaters)It is always empty except at Christmas. They still have layaway. They do have good deals from time to time. I go there about once a month, for the catfood and i will wonder around. If you need curtains it is a really good place. They do have an extensive collection. Otherwise I stear clear of there. It does have a Dollar Tree adjacent to it and a couple of other stores. In Az they have a Super Kmart that was really nice. I am buying cat food today so this article coincides with mmy shopping!!
