Relion diabetes management products at Walmart

October 30, 2015 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate Leave a Comment

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I feel truly blessed that my family is so healthy.  Sure–we’ve got your basic compliment of environmental allergies, high blood pressure, some migraines, some sleep apnea for the hubs and assorted aches and pains amongst the adults that come from our time in the Army. . .but over all we are active and well with very little ongoing expense or management for our minor woes.

There are some problems, such as diabetes, that can be a lot more stressful to handle–both personally and financially.  Today Walmart and ReliOn asked me to share some information about diabetes management–and while it’s not a relevant topic for my family personally, I know there are those of you out there who have to deal with this as a daily part of your lives and an ongoing financial expense.

Walmart’s big tagline is “Save Money. Live Better.” and if you live with diabetes cutting your cost on diabetic products such as test strips, meters, & glucose tablets can help you do both.

ReliOn Diabetes Management at Walmart

These products are super affordable–the ReliOn Prime meter is under $17, and a box of 50 strips for the ReliOn Prime is $9, or $.18 per strip.

If you’ve recently been diagnosed with diabetes, there are a lot of things to learn about your disease, how diet effects it, and how to live a fit and active life.  ReliOn has a website that not only has the information on it’s products, but also lots of articles on ways to stay well, eat healthy, get active, buy products and also gives people an overview of diabetes 101.  If you create an account at ReliOn.com you can track your health goals, measure progress, and store results for review at a later date.

If you would like some real life experience and feedback on the ReliOn glucose meters, then make sure you check out the post my friend, podcast co-host and fellow Walmart Mom Lynnae McCoy wrote–she was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago and has been using the ReliOn products since her diagnosis:  An Affordable Way to Manage Diabetes

ReliOn Lynnae McCoyReliOn products are a great value, and they are available only at Walmart.  So if you or someone you love is living with diabetes, check out the full range of ReliOn products online at Walmart.com or next time you are in store.
