Shoes are important because feet are important. Yeah, sure, I know there are tons of women out there who think shoes are important because they look pretty. I like pretty things too, so I get it. But what REALLY makes shoes important for the typical woman on the go is how they make your feet feel.

Even though I’m a blogger and spend quite a bit of time in front of the computer, I’m also a mom and a Village Homesteader, so I spend tons of time on my feet. I cook, clean, preserve, garden. Walk the dog. Ride bikes with the kids. The list goes on and on. Its very important to me that my feet dont slow me down.

Skyscape
Recently I had the opportunity to try out a pair of Reeboks new Skyscape shoes at Kohls! These are a cute, runaround shoe with a big difference–they are super light, as in less than 5oz! You will barely know you are wearing them.

The Skyscape upper is crafted using the same manufacturing techniques and processes as molded foam bras, but using materials that have been optimized for the stresses and strains placed on the feet all day. Not only that but the material has a 2 way stretch, so it forms to your foot a bit and allows for natural foot movement. My Kohls currently had only pink and black were availablebut they come in a wide range of fun colors. I would love a pair of their bright red ones!

Skyscape Shoes
To really put the Skyscape Runaround Shoes through their paces, I wore them for one of my marathon shopping/errand days down in Binghamton. I admit it I was a bit worried. Ive suffered from plantar fasciitis in the past and only gotten my feet back in good condition within the last 5 months or so.  Im pretty careful with my feet. Just in case things didnt work out, I tossed the shoes that I normally wear shopping into the car. I shouldnt have bothered! I never needed to use them.

When I first put the shoes on (with socks) they felt a bit snug. I have wide feet, and there was a bit of rubbing on my left pinky toe where the seam was, but with the two way stretch the fabric soon adapted and I didnt feel it at all. The shoes were light and comfortable all day long, even when standing on hard concrete floors. I thought the Skyscapes were comfy and practically weightless. Princess even said Cool shoes Mom! when she saw them, so thats a win as well! If you are looking for a pair of light, comfortable, cute shoes this summer that you can wear for all your running around, check out the Reebok Skyscape Runarounds at Kohls, both in store and online!

Looking good! Wish I could wear standard running shoes, but due to my flat feet, Birkenstocks are pretty much the only thing I can get away with wearing for extended periods of time. It sucks, really limits the shoes I can have (goodbye to all my favourite heels!).
