Are you excited? Star Wars hits the theaters this Friday on December 18th!
Recently I told you about the new Star Wars Battlefront game at Walmart based on the new series. Now it’s time to get jazzed not only by the theatrical release, but also all the cool Star Wars stuff available at Walmart. I love their video celebrating it all “Star Wars: A New Generation Awakens”. I admit it–being a corny, sentimental sort who grew up in the 80’s (and remembers my best friend waiting in a line around the BLOCK to watch “Return of the Jedi”)–this video makes me tear up a bit.
When Walmart had all of us Walmart Moms down to headquarters in Bentonville Arkansas this fall, I got to see some of the really fun Star Wars themed items they were going to have for Christmas. It’s so fun now to see the same stuff in my local stores. The fans in your family can go watch the new Star Wars movie–The Force Awakens–on Friday and then you can stock up on some Star Wars themed gifts for Christmas at your Local Walmart.
First there are the clothes, things like these awesome T-shirts. I love the very modern, graphic style. It looks like something you’d buy in that mall store that specializes in all the pop culture stuff!
And of course the Star Wars PJ’s are just super cute 🙂
Of course the toys are where it’s at for any kids (big or small) who are fans this Christmas. I thought the Lego figures were really cool and different–you actually BUILD Darth Vader and others. Very different from the typical “mini figure”.
Finally the tree completely decorated with Star Wars ornaments was so fun! Which is your favorite? I can’t resist the R2D2 with the reindeer antlers.
