This week we continue on with BBC’s Wartime Farm series for TV Thursday.
If you’ve missed the previous episodes:
BBC’s Wartime Farm, Episode 1 (incl series description)
BBC’s Wartime Farm, Episode 5
By 1943 England’s farmland had been worked hard for several years, and the soil was getting tired. The team tries to revitalize the soil and keep pests away from the crop/harvest. Needing help with all the farm work, local children are employed. This episode includes a lot of fun extras like beekeeping, medicinal herbs, making a straw bale structure, sewing clothes from feed sacks, and even a “Wings for Victory” fund raising dance with American GI’s.
