Wartime Farm -- Episode 6By 1943 England’s farmland had been worked hard for several years, and the soil was getting tired.  The team tries to revitalize the soil and keep pests away from the crop/harvest.  Needing help with all the farm work, local children are employed.  This episode includes a lot of fun extras like beekeeping, medicinal herbs, making a straw bale structure, sewing clothes from feed sacks, and even a “Wings for Victory” fund raising dance with American GI’s.
