This week we continue on with BBC’s Wartime Farm series for TV Thursday.
If you’ve missed the previous episodes:
BBC’s Wartime Farm, Episode 1 (incl series description)
BBC’s Wartime Farm, Episode 6
In this episode the flax crop is doing horribly, so the guys try to use chemical fertilizers to give it a boost. The rain is so bad that Alex has to re-waterproof his coat (with materials including wax from the bees they raised). The whole team gets involved with carrier pigeons, from weaving the carrying cage to training them. An official War Artist visits the farm, and the boys help a neighbor with the harvest–alongside German and Italian POW’s. The episodes ends with a rowdy baseball game and some music.

I love all the farm videos and have watched each one over and over again. War time and Edwardian are my favorites. Wow! I’ve never met anyone who liked these before.
