This week we continue on with BBC’s Wartime Farm series for TV Thursday.

In the final episode of Wartime Farm, set as if in 1945, the team again is trying to add fertility to the soil. The Allies invade Berlin and there is victory in Europe. Ruth bakes a special war ration cake and plans a VE Day party. The team interviews real WWII veterans on their memories about the end of the war. The team uses a “new” invention, the combine harvester, for the wheat crop. The episode ends with a special “Holidays at Home” party as the team reminisces over the year and what they learned.
