This week for TV Thursday in honor of Columbus Day, we are taking a break from the Victorian Pharmacy and watching a couple of very short vintage cartoons/videos.
The first is a five minute cartoon that explains Christopher Columbus’s journey. Â It was a very straightforward historical account with a few songs. Â I thought it was pretty charming and educational–for example I didn’t realize that he actually landed in San Salvador.
And just for general silliness, and a bit of nostalgia for my youth, I’m including the classic “Kermit News” bit with Columbus.
So I hope you all have a happy Columbus Day next week. Â Enjoy your day off if you get one! Â Next week we’ll be back with more from The Victorian Pharmacy.
