Hamburger Casserole


  • 1 1/2 LBS Ground Beef
  • 1 LB Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can Sweet Corn
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 C Bread Crumbs
  • 3 TBS Butter


  1. Brown ground beef and drain off the fat.
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni.
  3. In a large bowl mix together beef, drained macaroni, soup, corn and sour cream.
  4. Transfer into a greased 9X11 pan.
  5. Melt butter and mix into bread crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.


  1. This is a dry casserole--if you prefer something very saucy, then increase soup to 2 cans.

  2. "Mexican" style canned corn can be used.

  3. Add a cup of shredded cheese.

  4. Use any ground or diced meat in place of the hamburger--pork, venison, chicken.
