What would you do with a bag of NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Valentines Morsels? That’s the dilemma I was faced with. The folks at Nestle and Walmart sent me a package to try out. These are chocolate morsels that are colored both red and brown–so I knew they’d make pretty chocolate chip cookies for Valentines day. Somehow that just seemed too plain–plus I figured someone else would probably choose that for their blog-and I like to be original! What to do? I could think of plenty of baked goods that taste lovely with some chocolate in them–but nothing that would really highlight the cool colors of the morsels. . .
So I chose to go in a totally different, non baking direction and make special Valentines Day pancakes. I dug out my Better Homes and Garden Cookbook and turned to trusty page 72 for the pancakes recipe. This is a well loved and used page.
I made a nice thick pancake batter. Then I put some of the batter in a squeeze bottle and carefully squeezed out a heart into my pan. Then I just sprinkled some of the morsels on .
It was a bit finicky to get the hearts made–so I just made a few as accents and then made there rest of the pancakes in your standard circle shape–but with the tasty morsels cooked inside! They came out looking adorable!

Inside the box with the Nestle Toll House Morsels was also a box of their new Cookie-Brownie Delight. This is basically brownies with big spoons of cookie dough dropped it it and baked.
Personally I like a really thick fudgey brownie–these were a more cake like style-but they were gobbled up pretty quickly by the kiddos!
