On this week in 2009 I taught you all how to make your own Bisquick Substitute and make your kids lunch sandwiches fun.

In 2008 we were discussing how to start being frugal by saving money on food as well as comparing prices on various means of travel.

In 2007 we spiced up our lives with my homemade baking spice mix (great in a varitey of baked goods!). Talking about frugal skills I made sure you all knew how to sew on a button-a very basic but useful frugal skill.

Then way, way back in 2006, just one short month after I had begun this blog, sewing as a frugal skill again took center stage.

Well there you have it, the prime picks for this week in history from the Frugal Upstate vault!
