How to Make Lunch Sandwiches Fun

Some things are all about packaging! With kids, if it looks fun, then it tastes good. So:

Ham & Cheese Sandwich + Cookie Cutter = Cool and Fun Lunch

Slip the cookie cutter sandwich cutout back inside the sandwich and package as usual for a lunchtime surprise!

Fun, easy and free (pick up cookie cutters cheap at yard sales and such-the metal ones work best). Aren’t those the best types of ideas?

Granted, your husband (wife) or older child might not think this is as cool as my kindergartner does. But hey, what do you have to lose?

This is really fun! My kids are on a no sandwich kick, so perhaps cool shaped sandwiches are the answer!

I always love a cute sandwich–and a piglet would get snarfed at my house in record time. And we don’t even HAVE kids.

Even better: DynoBytes. No waste because they're made for sandwiches.

My 9-year old kept asking for lunchables, so I made him homemade ones with cookie cutters and he loved them! I use the ham and cheese scraps for hubby’s lunch sandwhich. Thankfully, he doesn’t mind…lol!

I used a large heart shaped cutter for my daughters PB & J around Valentines, and she loved it.

Also if the sandwich is on bread toasted in her Hello Kitty toaster (that leaves a Hello Kitty print on one side) that is a huge hit.

Like you said, make it fun and it will taste better.

My son turned twenty in November and I still do things like this to his lunches. He says he never knows what to expect and it brightens his day. His coworkers are usually jealous of his lunch and homemade cookies. 🙂
