Step into Spring with Walmart Fashion

Spring is on it’s way, and with the warmer weather comes lighter, brighter clothing!  Walmart asked me to “Step into Spring” and check out the latest Walmart Spring Fashions in store.

I’ve got three Walmarts near me (well, if you call 30 minutes away in different directions “near”), so I headed out to the more rural one.  Why?  Because I’ve noticed that the store that is farthest away from the other clothing retail stores has a much larger fashion selection!

There were lots of fun things in stock.  I noticed that stripes, plaid and gingham have made a comeback, but in more gentle, pastel colors for the most part.  That tracks, because Glamour.com says “grown up gingham” is one of spring’s most wearable fashion trends.  Maxi skirts, leggins and t-shirts in tons of colors, and lots of fun and flowy shirts were also in evidence.Spring Fashion at Walmart

I usually don’t wear maxi skirts–they don’t really look great on short plump women overall. . . but I couldn’t resist a Faded Glory Maxi Skirt of gray with colored stripes.  So fun and totally comfy.  I decided to match it with three different tops to show you a bit of variety–a silky and slightly dressy T-shirt, a plain gray V neck T (dressed up with a necklace) and a billowy peach blouse (with a lace inset on the back that you can’t see–sorry).

Very wearable, and while not super dressy, I wouldn’t feel bad wearing it out to church or dinner.  I also could wear it running to the store for a few things without feeling overdressed.

Outfits aren’t really complete without accessories–so I hit up my FAVORITE wall at Walmart–the jewelry “Essentials” section where all the earrings are $2.88.  Sure–some of them are more for the tween or teen set, but there are plenty of options that look fun and fashionable no matter what your age.

What fashion trends are you looking to work into your spring wardrobe this year?
