Things are rolling right along here at the Frugal Upstate household!
I spent a lot of last night cooking up 4 batches of my favorite holiday Caramel Corn to give away to my friends tonight at our neighborhood holiday party, hosted here! Trust me, the house does not look ready for an invasion of guests yet, so I’ll be cleaning and straightening in panic mode as soon as I whip out this blog post!!!! Luckily despite my total lack of energy for the last several weeks (stupid upper resperitory infection) and our family wide bout of stomach virus this weekend, the house actually isn’t in bad shape.
But there are some good things to report.
One is that I have produced a couple of family and health related video blogs (vlog) for Johnson & Johnson! These were done for a stipend-J&J is a client. My most recent one, Tips for Shots with Kids, is the featured video on their Youtube channel this week! Please, take a few minutes and pop on over to view it, and log in and leave some comments if you are so inclined. After all, if they see that folks enjoy my vlogs and find them useful, then they are going to be more inclined to have me do more!
In other big news, starting in January Lynnae from Being Frugal and I will be starting our own radio show over at Blog Talk Radio! We are so excited about this-really, we can hardly stand it. This will be an hour long show on Monday nights, tentatively scheduled for 8:30 EST. We will give frugal tips and tricks, take call ins from listeners, and there will even be a chat room available during the show!
Listening in is free (my favorite price) online. There is even an option where you can call in and listen to it via your cell phone (which is free from the BTR end, but will incur standard cell phone charges). The very best part? About 20 minutes after the show is done, it will be archived and then available for playback and download via the BTR site or via the Itunes store-for free! So if you miss us, you can listen to us later. How awesome is that?
Lynnae and I are so excited to get to know you all better, and to spread the word about living well but living within our means. I’d love to hear your thoughts on our doing a show, the time slot, and what types of things you’d like to hear us talk about. After all, the first Monday in January isn’t that far away!!!!!

Great job on the VLOG Jenn, all good tips. I am excited about your radio show. Now that I don’t see you in person anymore, I can hear your sweet voice on the airways.
Merry Christmas.

I am looking forward to your talkshow.
I have ben listening to another blog talk radio show every other Monday, so on those days i can listen to your archived version.
Do you know yet what the name of the show will be? BTR has a feature where you can sign up for an email reminder for a show & I'd like to take advantage of that.
