I really, truly am going to try to get back into the groove of posting. Not only for your benefit, but for my own. When I have to tell you what Princess is eating for lunch, and what we are having for dinner, it forces me to be more creative. That type of thing is exactly why I say starting a blog made me more frugal!
The pork loin recipe is an experiment. I am starting off with this one from Recipezaar-Tangy Cranberry Pork Loin, but I am using the cranberry relish that I like to make at Thanksgiving (I always freeze some) and then fudging the rest. If it comes out well, I’ll post the recipe. If it doesn’t, well, we’ll all just forget about it.
For the poached pears, I’m using the leftover syrup from the big steak and lobster feed, and just simmering a can of pears in it-as Mrs. W suggested in the comments! Bonus, I’ll use the juice from the can in the pork recipe instead of the pineapple juice.

I was truly evil. I ate the 2 for $4.00 Mc. Donald’s Big macs for a treat with the family. They are good and one really fills me up. Your ideas are yummy too. Annette

Other ideas are don’t forget to use any left over juices from your meals to make gravy for potatoes or soup. One lady said you can make it into dessert sauce with sugar too. It is amazing how you can use just about anything and it will not be wasted. Annette

You can also use bones to make stock soup. Another use of meat is you can boil the fat to make it into cooking oil.
