What a chaotic week this is. Yankee Bill left very early Saturday for his annual training with the New York Guard (not the National Guard-the NY Guard) and I’ve been alone with the kids. But I’m leaving bright and early Wednesday morning for BlogHer, while hubs doesn’t get home until 5pm.
Daycare has been arranged for the kids, frozen meals purchase (hey-it cheaper than eating out, which is what Yankee Bill will do if I don’t leave something VERY easy to prepare). But the house is a mess, there are 3 baskets of clean yet unfolded laundry, a pile of ironing, and the rest just looks like a tornado ran through it.
I have blog posts to write, a video to edit, 2 other projects to take care of and of course my bag to pack.
Oh-and I have to a read through for a dramatic script reading at 7pm.
It is stressing me out! I know by Wednesday morning I’ll be on my way and full of excited anticipation. But right now the weight of it. . .
Then I’m off to meet hundreds of folks I’ve only read-or never read. People I know, want to know, never knew that I’d like to know. Hands will be shook, business cards exchanged and connections made. . .
Wow.
By next Monday I’ll be home again, exhausted but happy to see “MY” people again.
So the menu plan this week? Practically non existant. Tonight for dinner we had mac ‘n cheese with spaghetti sauce & leftover venison roast mixed in. It tasted strangely similar to Chef Boy Ardee. Tomorrow we’ll have chicken nuggets, couscous & salad. After that, there are the frozen pizzas, lasagna, swiss steaks etc in the freezer for Yankee Bill to use.

Sounds like a busy, but exciting week. Have a great time. I just started blogging last week (inspired by other bloggers like yourself).
Come back and tell us about the conference and how your family fared.
