Giveaway: Wonka Candy for Halloween

October 14, 2011 By Jenn @ Frugal Upstate

This post may contain sponsored and/or affiliate links. Click here to read our full disclaimer and find out more about this.

How would you like to have Wonka “sponsor” your Halloween candy this year?

I was sent a couple of packages of Wonka’s spooky themed Laffy Taffy & Sweet Tart Gummies to try, as well as the chance to give 5 bags of candy to a lucky reader.  That’s 250 pieces of candy!

So what exactly would you be getting? Well there is the Howlin Laffy Taffy in Banana and Strawberry–with the prerequisite jokes printed on the inside of the wrapper (hence the “laffy” part of the name).  I actually remember first being introduced to Laffy Taffy when I was a kid and our parents took us to Disney World.  For some reason we bought Laffy Taffy as a snack at one of the stores and we kept cracking up over the silly jokes inside the wrapper.

The other item inside the bag are the SweetTarts Spooky Gummies.  I had never had these before, so of course I had to crack some open and try them out.  They are a sweet gummy with a sour “sugar” on the outside, formed into Halloween shapes like cats, bats, and pumpkins.

I thought they were pretty tasty!

So now you know what we’ll be handing out at the Frugal Upstate household this year (well, ok, we’ll have to supplement-we get a SERIOUS number of trick ‘o treaters since we live in the village on the main street and have lovely lit sidewalks.)

Now it’s your turn! How would  you like to win 5 bags of Wonka’s Spooky Halloween Candy?  This giveaway will run from today-October 14 through noon EST October 25th.

note:  I have the company’s assurance that once I receive the winner’s shipping info they will send the candy next day air on October 27th–so yes, you should have it in time for Halloween!

To enter, please tell me what your favorite Halloween candy is!  That’s it, uber simple!

And please, when you are done, consider swinging by the Wonka facebook page and giving it a “like”.  While you are at it, if you haven’t “liked” the Frugal Upstate Facebook page, make sure you do that too!

Good luck!

Another vote for Tootsie Rolls – the big, chunky ones. I also really like gummy candy, so I find the SweetTarts Gummies intriguing — haven’t tried them before.

I have a soft spot for fun size snickers. Although I know those sour gummies would be a huge hit with two of the littles. I also love that laffy taffy has those jokes on them(although I personally am not a banana fan)

The fun sized twizzlers for me, the kid’s love the halloween shaped suckers, skulls, pumpkins or any other scary shape. As a child I use to look forward to popcorn balls from my neighbor, but people don’t hand them out anymore.

I love jelly beans… oh, wait, wrong holiday. Why can’t they make halloween jelly beans? I’d have to say Twizzlers, because I can eat them without taking a milk digestant pill, even though I love chocolate more.
