Do you have a dog that loves playing fetch but destroys frisbees? I do! Our dog (her name is Summer) will crack a frisbee within a week. Recently Walmart offered to send me the new Chuckit! Flying Squirrel for her to try instead.
It’s pretty funny right? Features include: Durable canvas with rubber feet, Raised sides for easy pick up, Glow in the dark paws, Aerodynamic design – Flies great and even floats in water. Even better, it’s available in-store at Walmart for $12.97, and online at Walmart.com from $9.36-$13.92 depending on the size you get.
Poor Summer! I told her to stay so I could take the picture, but she really wanted to try out her new toy! She’s giving me the “mama, mama PLEASE” eyes. No one does sad eyes like a dog.
We took her outside to try out the Chuckit. Everyone got in on the action, taking turns throwing it for her and playing tug. To throw the toy you do have to use a bit of skill, similar to a frisbee–but once you get that down you’ll get some really nice loft and spin.
Summer really seemed to like this toy! Her tail was wagging happily and she brought the toy back again and again to be thrown (normally after about 3 throws she takes the toy and heads for the back door–her way of saying “ok, enough already!)
I like the bright orange and blue color –it makes it very easy to find the Chuckit in the grass. It also seems that the color makes it easier for summer to track in the sky after we throw it. Sometimes in the past throwing a frisbee she wouldn’t seem to know where it was headed until she heard it crash to the ground–with the Chuckit Flying Squirrel she was definitely watching it as it flew through the year.
If you are looking for a new dog toy–check out the Chuckit Flying Squirrel at Walmart!

Our dog Chloe litteraly destroys her frisbees, even the canvas and rope one we got her. They last about 15 minutes.

This one looks like it will last for regular “fetch”–but it isn’t meant to be a chew toy, so letting her just chew on it might not work. . .
