I’m so excited–not only did I get a brand new Eureka Airspeed All Floor to play with–I get to give TWO away to lucky readers!

I’ve been a fan of the Eureka vaccums for a while, and I’ve had a chance to test out both the Eureka Airspeed and the Eureka Endeavor NLS in the past.  So I knew from previous experiences that this was going to be a nice vacuum.  On top of that, based on independent testing, Eureka AirSpeed ALL FLOORS cleans carpets better than the Dyson DC41, but .

Right out of the box it was a pretty easy machine.  It came in a couple of pieces, but the “quick start” guide had pictoral directions and the whole thing just snapped together–I didn’t even have to bust out a Philips head screwdriver.  The vacuum is a bagless, which I like, and the filters and cup are washable–which means you can make it last longer without having to buy a new filter.   It’s also easy to see when the chamber is full.

Three of the features I really like about this machine.

1) The cord is LONG.  27 feet.  I live in an old house–electrical outlets seem to be placed without rhyme or reason.  That long cord really helps!

2)  It has great suction–I feel like I’m pulling up the dirt underneath the carpet when I use it!  Part of that is the suction control valve–when it’s set to floor ALL of the suction goes to the floor–you aren’t sending any suction to hose that the attachments and tools go on.  When the valve is set to tools ALL of the suction is directed through the hose and none goes to the floor.  Smart.

3)  It is the easiest vacuum I’ve ever had when it comes to disengaging the roller brush to vacuum on floors instead of carpet.  It’s a nice, big button you can just stomp on with your foot.

The Eureka AirSpeed ALL FLOORS’ AirSpeed Technology has a special, efficient floor-to-cup air path with limited twists and turns that decreases the distance dust needs to travel and increases airflow, providing maximum suction power.  As a matter of fact, the suction is so good that I could FEEL the drag when I was pulling the vacuum back across the rug.  If you have a bum shoulder or are buying this for your elderly grandmother, you might want to check that out. . .

The entire filter/cup assembly pulls out easily and pops right back in.  The filter pulls right out and can be rinsed clean.  The whole thing is simple to use and effective.   How effective?  Well Eureka asked me to do a little cereal challenge with the vacuum.  Buddy and I had a little fun with it!

In case you were wondering–an entire box of cereal just about fills up the dust cup.  Can you see all the fine cereal dust it pulled up?

Now for the fun part–I get to give away this vacuum to TWO lucky readers in the USA!

We have 2 kitties that love to dig in the flower pots inside. If you don’t catch them in the act, they spill the dirt all over and then make dirty paw prints all over.

My biggest mess I have to clean daily would be all the sand and dirt that gets tracked into the house because of having a dirt driveway. This is a daily chore for me to shake out and vacuum all the rugs. It’s annoying!!
